Groton, CT, October 27, 2011 - A team of twelve toastmasters presented a demonstration meeting to a group of 50-60 Electric Boat employees. The Electric Boat Management Association has agreed to reimburse members dues, pay for the club charter and to purchase branded items such as the club banner, lectern and stopwatch. The demonstration meeting included prepared speeches, table topics speeches and evaluations. Team members explained their roles, describing what they did and why they did it. The team members were: Adam Bull, Julie Joshi, Beth Peterson, Eva Menon, Sharon Mercado, Rick Guenard, Lois Palmer-Anderson, Ed Watkins, Darrell Fox, Clyda DiNicola, Dongyang He and Sharon Roth. After the demonstration meeting, the team enjoyed a sumptuous dinner at Paul's Pasta in Groton. The first weekly club meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 15.
